| Northeast Nebraska will certianly be targeted on Thursday, however the southern half of MN has the potential for some damaging winds Thursday evening/night. Metro Skywarn's activation status is already BLUE (meaning that the threat of severe wx is recognized). Here is the SPC Day 2 Outlook for tomorrow. Also, here is MPX's Weather Story for Thurs/Fri. | |

| If I were out chasing today, my target would be Columbus, NE (about 60 miles west of Omaha). A high risk area has been painted by the SPC. The amount of wind shear with this system is incredible. | |

So I would have been in good shape with my target yesterday! And while a tornado didn't strike Columbus, NE, the city was in a tornado warning last night. Also, a tornado was reported 50 miles south in Beaver Crossing, NE. Nebraska saw 18 reported tornadoes on Thursday. | |
