FCST: 8-8-09

East Central Minnesota's best shot at severe weather so far! It looks like all things are in place, even for a few tornadoes.

I am targeting an area from Olivia to Mankato and then following the storms back to the metro. The warm front should come right up to Carver/Dakota counties and the chances that the metro could get hammered this evening seem to be pretty good.

At least two tornadoes yesterday in Hennepin County and the NWS will do a damage survey in the Lexington/Circle Pines/Lino Lakes areas to see if wind damage there was caused by a tornado.
