Arrow
Severe Weather Awareness Week is coming up. More info at: http://www.severeweather.state.mn.us/

Monday, 4/21: Thunderstorms, Hail, Straight-Line Winds, Lightning
Tuesday, 4/22: Severe Weather Warnings
Wednesday, 4/23: Floods, Flash Floods
Thursday, 4/24: Tornadoes
Friday, 4/25: Heat Waves

On Thursday, 4/24, there will be two test tornado drills throughout the state. The first at 1:45pm, and the second at 6:55pm. Usually Metro Skywarn does an activation during the evening tornado drill to test the skills of spotters. Aaron, are you planning a test activation during that time?

Hi everyone,I am planning on running a test net tonight around 6:55pm for the Severe Wx Awarness week. I am sorry this is such late notice, but this is usually the time frame we get from k0mpx.Some times we will get it the day before. This is a general skywarn check in beyond that I am not sure what. So if you can please keep an ear out.
That is, of course, if we aren't getting any actual severe weather at that
time--which is looking like a possibility at this time.

Thanks

Aaron, as long as we are on the subject, I had a question I thought about asking during the net, but I decided to wait.

During a Metro Skywarn net, they want us to call in to net control by using out spotter #, not our callsign. How do you want us to do it? Call net control with spotter number or callsign.

Thanks
