Here is a YouTube video of a home in Parkersburg, IA. It was destroyed earlier this year by the nation's 2nd EF5 tornado ever (Greensburg, KS being the first).
At the beginning of the video, the trees are bending to the right side of the picture (away from the tornado). Then they switch, violently! Notice how the house is really destroyed before it is ever "struck" by the tornado.
This should help dispell the myth about opening your windows before a tornado to relieve the air pressure. Air pressure had nothing to do with this destruction. It was becuase of flying debris and strong winds.
