Hello my name is Elise. My husband and myself just move to Isanti. I have love storms for as long as i remeber. I have done amatur (sorry spelling) storm chasing since I could drive. This year I am finally going to to go to the classes and get my ham radio license. I should of done it along time ago but it always seemed something got in the way. Anyway I look forward to this years storm season and going to the classes!!
Welcome Elise! It is good to have someone else post on the forum (even though it is new). If you need help with a class or getting your ham license, let us know, and we can point you in the right direction.
There is a storm spotter class in Cambridge on April 15 at 6:30pm (Cambridge Intermediate School). It will be taught by one of the forecasters from the NWS.

I registered today!!! I am all set for the 15th, i want to get my ham radio too, although i am unsure of which to get and what brand. i know i will get either a mobil or handheld. But me and my husband were looking at them last night ... wow there is alot out there!!! Thank You for the warm welcome!!!!
